About

Is culture important?

5 sessions

This interdisciplinary series will ask you to wonder, in the words of the poet Wislawa Szymborska, if the important thing is more important than the unimportant thing.

We will discuss current and burning issues from a broad perspective and even deal with the tension between the dynamic essence of culture and preservation measures. We will be asked strange questions such as "What is culture?" And think seriously about the importance of boredom. We will tour the corridors of decent cultural institutions and some side alleys, and read the writings of thinkers and creators, who liked to read the writings of other creators and thinkers.
